A Development Permit is required if the fence exceeds the maximum allowable height or if the home is located near a river in a designated floodway.

Corner-lot rules

Within a Corner Visibility Triangle, the maximum height is 0.75m along a portion of the side and front property lines.

Sight-line max: 0.75 m (2.46 ft).

Key restrictions

  • Fences cannot be located on City property.
  • Fences cannot be located on Utility Rights-of-Way.
  • Fences on residential property are the responsibility of the property owner.
  • A Real Property Report is recommended to show property lines and Utility Rights-of-Way.
